The Stables
The Stables is a three bedroom self-catering stunner located just to the rear of the main house. Sleeping six across three ensuite bedrooms (one double downstairs, one king and one twin upstairs) with a beautiful open-plan living space, it is the perfect place for a self-catering break in the Mournes.
When we lived in London, we often holiday-ed back in the Mournes and we were met with varying standards of accommodation. We knew what we needed to have a great holiday and we wanted to provide that to visitors when we opened. We wanted thoughtful accommodation. Somewhere with plenty of space with all the mod cons. We wanted somewhere that was purpose built to relax and chill out. We wanted something that was warm and cosy but also stylish and fun. We wanted somewhere that was close to beautiful places. Bonus points for a view.
The Stables does all of these things and we are super proud to be able to welcome guests.

Renovating the Barn
Renovating the stable at Bryansford Cottage has been something of a labour of love and on occasion felt like we might merit a stint on Grand Designs. As soon as we saw the property in 2016, we had the idea to convert the old stables into luxurious self-catering accommodation. We worked with a brilliant local architect Will Thornton to maximise the space and retain as much of its charm as we could. In 2019 and 2020, forced to close by the pandemic, we took the opportunity to get the building work done using local contractor SJB Construction, opening to guests in summer 2021.
